Introduction to Job’s Daughters
Job’s Daughters is an international youth organization that celebrates and empowers young women ages 10 to 20, who come from a Masonic background.
Job’s Daughters promotes the values and beliefs of Freemasonry, which includes the promotion of fellowship, morality, and spiritual growth.
The organization also provides educational opportunities, leadership experiences, and service projects that benefit the communities in which its members live.
History
Job’s Daughters was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1920. It was the brainchild of Ethel T. Wead Mick, who wanted to help young women learn about the values of Freemasonry, and to help them build a strong sense of self and community.
Job’s Daughters has since grown to include over 12,000 members in chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines.
Values and Beliefs
The purpose of Job’s Daughters is to teach young women the values of Freemasonry, as well as values of service, loyalty, and excellence. These values are reinforced through youth development activities, educational opportunities, and service projects that benefit the community.
Members of Job’s Daughters are expected to uphold the values of Freemasonry, including loyalty, honesty, trustworthiness, and obedience to God. All Job’s Daughters are encouraged to develop a strong sense of character, integrity, and leadership.
Activities and Programs
Job’s Daughters is active in a variety of activities and programs. These include:
- Leadership Development – Job’s Daughters provides opportunities for members to develop leadership skills that will serve them well in the future.
- Educational Programs – Job’s Daughters is committed to helping its members achieve academic excellence. Members have access to educational assistance, scholarships, and other resources.

- Social Events – Job’s Daughters also organizes fun social activities and events that allow members to build strong friendships with their peers.
