What Was Lucifer’s Job in Heaven?

Lucifer, also known as “The Light Bearer” or “The Morning Star,” is one of the most famous figures in all of religion. In Christianity, Lucifer is known as the fallen angel who rebelled against God and was cast down from Heaven. But before that, Lucifer had a very important job in Heaven.

Below are the Jobs he was Responsible For in Heaven:

  • Leadership: Lucifer was the leader of the angelic choir which praised God and sang praises to Him.
  • Worship: Lucifer was responsible for leading the angels in worship of the Lord.
  • Order: Lucifer was responsible for keeping the angels and their actions in line with God’s will.
  • Presence: Lucifer was the most powerful of the angels and so He was often at the throne of God in Heaven.

Lucifer’s job in Heaven was of great importance and he was highly praised for his efforts. Unfortunately, however, Lucifer was proud, ambitious, and attempted to overthrow God and gain control of Heaven. As a result of this transgression, he and the other angels who followed him were cast out of Heaven, and cursed by God.

And so, Lucifer lost his job in Heaven, and was exiled to Hell, where he remains to this day, making sure that those imprisoned there remain in Hell for all eternity. The Bible teaches us that one day, after the resurrection of Christ, Lucifer will be cast into the Lake of Fire and will experience the ultimate punishment.

So, to recap what Lucifer’s job in Heaven was: He was the leader of the angelic choir, responsible for leading the angels in worship of the Lord, keeping the angels and their actions in line with God’s will, and being present at the throne of God. Lucifer, however, chose to rebel against God, and was ultimately stripped of his role in Heaven and sentenced to an eternity of suffering and punishment.
